Rxchange.co.uk service dubbed a great idea that reduces the carbon footprint

Competition entrants to Suffolk's recent 'Creating the Greenest County' Awards 2011, Rxchange.co.uk, have been referred to in judges comments as: "A great business idea that reduces the carbon footprint for all."
The online pharmacy stock exchange site for pharmacies, wholesalers and manufacturers, based in Suffolk, has been going from strength to strength. Andrew Claridge, Director, said: "We are thrilled to receive such warm comments, to see the growth in subscriptions to the system since launch in 2007 and the benefit pharmacy businesses derive. We are particularly pleased that many pharmacies in our home county of Suffolk use the system, as well as all those across the whole of the UK. Of course, the more stock legitimately used before expiry and incineration the better it is for the planet.”
During this time of particularly high financial pressures on businesses of every size, a service such as Rxchange is especially relevant. The financial savings businesses make by reducing the amount of waste write-off and accessing hard to obtain items also translates into 'eco-savings' through reduction in the carbon footprint.
